• Public are allowed to visit the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre(VSSC) space museum from 09:30 hrs to 16:00 hrs on all days except Saturday, Sunday and declared Public holidays (notified on the calendar available online). The entry is allowed without any fee.
  • On normal days the number of visitors allowed is up to 2000 nos. and on RH 200 launch days the number allowed is up to 5000 Nos
  • A visit to the space museum will take more than an hour. There will be regular film shows on all days. Special shows will be arranged for groups with not less than 40 visitors, on request.
  • Sounding rockets are generally launched from TERLS on every third Wednesday at 11:45 hours (subject to change for technical reasons) for scientific purposes. Those who wish to witness the launch should be present at space museum before 10:30 hrs.
  • The entry is allowed only for Indian nationals.
  • The interested Indian nationals can apply online, maximum 3 months in advance. Online request will be processed only on working days
  • The request can be for an individual, a group or for Educational Institution/Organizations. The process of applying online for the respective categories is outlined below
A.For Educational Institutions/Organizations

The team leader should furnish the following details

    Name, age, occupation, address and mobile number of team leader
    Proof of identity (Any Govt. issued valid ID card like Voter's id/Aadhaar card/driving license/passport) of team leader
    The soft copies of ID card of Group Leader alone should be uploaded
    The list of visitors containing name, age, sex, standard/designation along with consent letter signed by the Head of the institution in the letter head should be uploaded in prescribed format. Individual ID cards need not be uploaded
    Registration Number of the Vehicle along with name, mobile phone number and Driving License Number of the Driver

The group leader should be invariably present at VSSC on the day of the visit and will be responsible for the integrity and disciplined behaviour of the group.

B.For individual/group

The leader should furnish the following details

    Name, age, occupation, address and mobile number of team leader
    Proof of identity (Any Govt. issued valid ID card like Voter's id/Aadhaar card/driving license/passport) of team leader
    Name, age, Identity Card/Aadhaar Card Number & sex of other individuals in the group
    The soft copies of ID cards of Group Leader as well as all accompanying visitors should be uploaded
    Registration Number of the Vehicle along with name, mobile phone number and Driving License Number of the Driver

The group leader should be invariably present at VSSC on the day of the visit and will be responsible for the integrity and disciplined behaviour of the group.

  • For every online request, the system will acknowledge with a unique id. This id can be used to check the status of the request online and also to get the printed entry pass on arrival at VSSC
  • VSSC will process the online request for approval. On approval, intimation will be given by email and SMS
  • Printed entry pass can be obtained either from the Public Relations Office, VSSC near Veli Church or from the security gate at Canal gate, near Station Kadavu at the northern boundary of the VSSC campus . For this purpose the group leader should furnish the details of the assigned request ID along with the registered proof of identity at the above identified points. On verification, the pass will be printed and issued. The pass will be valid only for the date of issue
  • Visitors must strictly adhere to COVID appropriate behavior listed below
    Maintain a physical distance of 2 Meters
    Always wear face mask and keep a personal sanitizer (50 ml.)
    Wash hands frequently and thoroughly before and after the visit
    Do not touch the exhibits under any circumstance
    In case of symptoms such as fever, running nose etc. please postpone the visit
    Please do not spit in the open
  • The visitors are requested to report at the CISF Security gate (Canal Gate) , near Station Kadavu at least 30 minutes prior to allotted time since there will be strict security checking, which includes body frisking and ID verification
  • On regular days, the visitor’s vehicle will be allowed inside the security gate, provided the entry pass should possess vehicle permission. On launch days the visitor’s vehicle will not be permitted inside the campus gate and transportation facility to control centre launch view station and Space Museum will be provided by VSSC
  • Visitors should ensure that no explosives or inflammable materials are kept inside the vehicle
  • Photography is strictly prohibited inside Space Museum and in Museum Campus
  • Mobile Phone and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited
  • Visit is strictly confined to Museum and its premises on regular days and up to launch pad and Control Centre on launch days, roaming around other areas will be considered as trespassing which is a serious offense as per law
  • Visitors are not allowed to carry any kind of eatables inside the campus
  • VSSC will not be responsible for any accident to the visitors or for any loss / damage to their belongings during their visit to VSSC or to any of its facilities, or while witnessing the launching of rockets
